I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
