Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev won his first trophy for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a former world number one, has experienced a difficult year, achieving just one win at the big events and undergoing a meltdown at the American major.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in specific - led to him falling of the world's top 10 and ultimately separating with long-time trainer Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and his other coach, he has steadily improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents his maiden championship after the Rome competition and first on a hard court after March of 2023.
The win also means the Russian has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 different competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter her name, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle previously this season.
The player's counter-punching approach and regular outbursts on court had prompted commentators to doubt if his skill to compete at the highest level was concluded.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and perform positively, backed up by an better service.
The champion came back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, securing 4 of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to push for a decider.
The opponent defended four early opportunities in a tight final set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched the title with a rally at the net, with his opponent failing to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
